There are many roads to Parkway Classic

The Parkway Classic is a point to point race. Because of the unique nature of this race, it is highly recommended that you read through all of the transportation options below thoroughly to determine the best option for you. You can also view and print the Race Day Athlete Guide to have the transportation details at hand as you plan your day.

The 10 miler starts at Mount Vernon Estates and finishes in Old Town, Alexandria at Oronoco Bay Park. The 5k starts at Belle Haven Park and finishes in Old Town, Alexandria at Oronoco Bay Park. Both races start at 8:00AM.
Due to road closures and limited access to the course, runners will have to select one of the transportation options we have outlined.
The majority of runners elect to take advantage of the complimentary bus transportation to the Start Line.

We are providing shuttle transportation from:

·        Alexandria / Fairfax Street

Friends and family may board the post-race shuttles but must be accompanied by a runner. Strollers cannot be accommodated pre-race in the shuttles but can travel in the post-race shuttles.
